Jem + Jack an engagement session in the historical centre of Arequipa
Every time we do an engagement session in the historical centre of Arequipa – Peru we have a lot of fun, the light at different times of the year is different and each season has a unique magic that we love. The city center has many locations to hold a couple session; the parade ground with its imposing cathedral, its traditional streets, the Santa Catalina monastery, the cloisters of the Company and many other places that you will surely love. We opted to do a session in these last two and in the parade ground.
Arequipa is a very beautiful city and its architecture is more so, most of its mansions and churches are located in the historic center and are built with a local rock volcano called “sillar” that gives it a unique beauty in the world. It is enough to take a walk through some streets to realize it. If you are thinking of coming to Peru, Arequipa is a must-see destination, we are sure you will not regret it!
Jack contacted us months before his trip and told us that he was planning to ask the hand of Jem and that after they would travel to Peru to celebrate their engagement. After Jem’s Yes, he wrote us commenting on the great news (we attached a couple of photos of his request) and we set a date for his session and agreed to take them in Arequipa, since he had had the opportunity to get to know our city in a previous trip. We thought it was a great idea since it was the first time that Jem would know our city and doing a session in the center was a great idea.
Luckily for both of us, we were able to get to know each other days before in Cusco and the details and time of their session were good.
