Making this surprise proposal in Machupicchu – Cusco with Jenn & Ram was very exciting. Ram is a talented fashion photographer based Aguas Calientes in Mexico (look at his work here). It is not the first time we work with a photographer. Have you seen Micho and Fiore’s wedding in Ica or Iris or Jimmy’s wedding in Cieneguilla – Lima? They are photographers and trusted us for record their weddings.

Hans already knew Ram’s work and for things of destiny we ended up making this surprise request. Ram remembered that I lived in Peru, he told me that he came to know Lima, Cusco and Ica in June. I told him that I would be traveling to Aguas Calientes to photograph an elopement and that the next day he would be visiting the citadel of Machupicchu. Coincidentally, they they would also visit Machupicchu that same day. After that we ended up arranging a shooting, isn’t it wonderful?

Just a couple of conversations and a video call to plan this surprise hand request. After that with his mother, brother and an their tourist guide, I was the best ally as a result we ended up with these incredible photos.

Here are some tips to make your trip as pleasant as possible:

• If you plan to do the Inca trail, you must schedule the tour with at least 6 months since there is a lot of demand.
• I recommend making the proposal in the afternoon, since in the morning there are usually many tourists and even more in the House of the Casique (which is where you have the best view), plus you will get a beautiful light.
• You can buy your train tickets with these two companies Peru Rail or Inca Rail companies (you can get discounts if you buy them in cyber days).
• Tickets for Machu Picchu can be purchased and paid in their page (they also accept PayPal).
